These could include caravans, temporary toilets, agricultural spraying, etc.CAUTION We do not sell the motor or other parts on this pump. Specifications Motor: Permanent Magnet, Ball Bearings Pump: Four chamber diaphragms design; Self-priming up to 6 ft. suction lift; Pump able to run dry without damage; Removable port to hose connectors.Note: The built-in bypass valve eliminates the need an accumulator tank. Do not install in a system with an accumulator tank. The tank will interfere with the internal bypass valve.Pump Specifications:Volts: 12VAMP DRAW AT 10 PSI: 3.9FLOW GPM: 3.3PRESSURE SWITCH MAX PSI: 35OperationWith pump switch off, and battery fully charges, fill the water tank, open all faucets then turn pump switch on. Water will begin to flow, when water is free of air, turn faucet off, remember you are filling the water heater, the toilet and shower lines. When all valves are shut off, the pump will stop. Should the pump fail to stop, turn the switch off and see the trouble shooting guide. This motor pump is equipped with a thermal overload protection device. In the unlikely event the motor overheats, the pump will shut off. Turn off the power to pump until the motor cools down.NOTE: The pump should be mounted in a dry and adequately ventilated area. If mounted within an enclosed provisions to cool the motor may be necessary. If the pump is installed in an outdoor environment the pump should be shielded from water, dust, sunlight and wash down spray.Installation:Step 1: Remove shipping plugs from Quad pump ports. Some water from factory testing may spill out.Step 2: Install the left inlet and discharge the right port connector. Firmly push slate clips at the right port forward to lock port connectors in place.Step 3: Slide the rubber fully into 4 mounting tracks.Step 4: Mount pump vertically, with pump head down or horizontally in an accessible location. If mounting vertically, motor up, attach motor mounts first, then pump head mounts, while supporting weight of pump.Step 5: Use 1\/2\" I.D. flexible hose (preferably braided or reinforced). Use hose clamps on the slip-on barb hose connectors.Step 6: Install no less than 3\/8\" I.D. hose for feed lines to fixtures. Use high pressure hose on all city water lines.Step 7: Install a Flojet strainer in an accessible location (for inspection and cleaning) between the tank and pump inlet. This strainer or equivalent is required for pump warranty o be valid.NOTE: Do not use with an accumulator tank.WiringStep 1: Use 14 gauge stranded wire to 20', 12 gauge to 50', from power source.Step 2: Use a 10-15 amp rated on-off switch on the \"+\" positive (red) motor lead.Step 3: Install 10-15 amp fuse or breaker between the power source and the positive lead for the -143 models and a 4 amp fuse for 343 models.TroubleshootingCAUTION Before Servicing pump, turn off pump and drain water from the system. Failure to Prime: Restricted intake or discharge line.Air leak in intake line.Debris in pump.Punctured pump diaphragm (pump leaks).Crack in pump housing.Motor Fails to turn on: We do not sell the motor or the motor parts separately.Loose wiring connection.Pump circuit has no power.Blown fuse or open thermal protector.Pressure switch failure.Defective motor.Pulsating Flow: Restricted pump delivery. Check discharge lines, fittings and valve for clogging or under-sizing.Pump fails to turn off after all fixtures are closed: Empty water tank.Insufficient voltage to pump (low battery).Punctured diaphragm (pump leaking).Discharge line leak.Defective pressure switch.Low foam and pressure: Air leak at pump intake.Accumulation of debris inside pump and plumbing.Worn pump bearing (excessive noise).Punctured pump bearing (excessive noise).Defective motor.DisassembleUpper Housing Remove the switch and disconnect the switch from the wires.Loosen, but do not remove, the four pump head screws and carefully remove upper housing assembly.Inspect the valve for debris.Reassemble new upper housingCheck Valve AssemblyReplace check valves.Reassemble upper housing.Lower Hosing, Diaphragm, Motor Follow step 2 then slide rubber foot from mounting track.Rotate lower housing so mounting notch opening on lower housing exposes set screws which holds bearing housing to shaft.Loosen screw set by inserting 1\/8\" Allen key into the mounting notch opening. Then, slide lower housing off the motor shaft.Diaphragm Screw the four cam pistons loose with a screw driver and pull the cam apart from the inner pistons. NOTE: Pistons should always be replaced when a new diaphragm is installed.Diaphragm Lower housing is assembled with:Flat side of diaphragm and outer pistons facing the motor.Hex stem of inner pistons must be aligned into hex holes in outer pistons.Outer pistons must be aligned with alignment slots on on cam assembly making sure screw holes align in cam assembly, otherwise diaphragm will leak.Tighten cam piston screws partially, center the piston in the diaphragm, then tighten the screws securely.Lower housingReassemble lower housing assembly to the motor.Re-tighten the screws securely. The screws sets must be positioned facing the motor covering seam. NOTE: Positioning o this screws are very important to avoid misalignment and subsequent diaphragm damage.Upper housing, Check ValveReassemble upper housing and the side clips.Properly seat O-ring in check valve assembly and check if ferrules and screen are in place on upper housing.Install check valve into the upper housing and push it in.Assemble the upper housing onto the lower housing, make sure it is aligned before screwing in the screw's on to motor by rotating lower housing if necessary to align feet.Tighten the screws evenly to 30 in. lbs. torque.Pressure SwitchPlace the switch against the front of the pump, insert the screws. Do not cross threads in housing.Lastly reconnect the wires.WarrantyXYLEM LIMITED WARRANTY warrants this product to be free of defects and workmanship for a period of 2 years.
